Only a few more days until the Chinese New Year. The staff of the Giggling Tree wishes you a happy New Year of the Rooster! Xīn nián kuài lè!
During Spring Festival the Giggling Tree will be closed. Our doors close on January 8th and will open again on February 22nd. Maybe we will see you in the next two months. If not, we hope to welcome you in the year of the Rooster!
Monique van der Linde and Ydwer Hamstra, a travelling Dutch couple, have written an article about the Giggling Tree on their website after their visit: www.globehopper.nl.
Take a look to see how they experienced the Giggling Tree and lots of other beautiful places. Unfortunately the website is not yet available in English, but they are planning on releasing the English article soon!
This year the Giggling Tree exists 10 years. Last week we started the celebration of our 10 year anniversary with the people of our village. It was a beautiful day and a very nice party with lots of fire works, food and drinks!
This week the new managers of the Giggling Tree arrived! Sara and Martijn will be the ‘jinglies’ of the Giggling Tree this year. Together with Karst, Paulien, Pelle and Raaf, Sara and Martijn will do their best to make your stay at the Giggling Tree memorable!
To read more about Sara and Martijn and their experiences during their stay, visit their blog.
We all hope to welcome you this season at the Giggling Tree!
The Giggling Tree has been recognized as #1 of the 2016 TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice™ awards in the category of B&Bs and Inns!
We are extremely proud of this achievement! Of course we will continue to do our very best to make a stay at the Giggling Tree unforgettable.
We had an amazing party to finish this wonderful year.
We wish you a splendid 2016 and hope to welcome you
all in the Giggling Tree!
From January 2016 we have a new website! There might still be some minor mistakes and start-up problems, but we are doing our best to solve it. In case you experience any difficulties, please contact us via email@example.com.
The kids Huub, Abel, Pelle and Elias made a fantastic treasure hunt guide book. For kids, by kids. Come here and search for it yourself!
Please be welcome.
This year, Easter and the Chinese Qing Ming festival were both on the same dates. The Giggling Tree was filled with families with children. On Easter Sunday, a kids club was organized: painting eggs, making Easter bunny ears, face painting and of course a real Easter egg hunt on the courtyard! All the kids enjoyed it!
In March we, Ruben and Anne, started as the new Jinglies (managers) of the Giggling Tree. We already tried the terrace, to make sure we can promise you a beautiful view! We invite you to have a look yourself! Together with Karst, Paulien, Pelle and Raaf we do our very best to make your stay unforgettable.
Every now and then we write something about our experiences. If you’re curious, have a look at www.rubenenanne.wordpress.com.
See you at the Giggling Tree!
Ruben and Anne
All of us at the Giggling Tree have reloaded over Springfestival. Our rooms have been painted again, cleaning of the pool is starting now, the lounge terrace is being prepared for the sun to come. Many roads around our guesthouse have been beautifully renovated with cement and tar. Flowers and trees have been planted all over the Yulong valley. Our tiny village Aishanmen has received stars as a tourist destination. And the government is now finishing a wonderful walking- and cycleboulevard along the Yulong-river, which can already be used.
Please be welcome to enjoy an even more beautiful Chinese countryside.
